From crossing wormholes to docking with the Endurance, this modification build brings the iconic Ranger spacecraft from Interstellar, Christopher Nolan’s 2014 hit film, into LEGO using parts from LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Space Shuttle and the LEGO City Interstellar Spaceship (aptly named).

Built utilizing only the parts included in both sets, along with a few of the extra pieces they come with, this model transforms two modern LEGO space sets into a compact recreation of this blackhole navigating vessel.

The build features an opening cockpit panel and optional included landing gear, allowing the Ranger to be displayed either in flight mode or ready fora landing on Miller's Planet. I’ve always loved the grounded, industrial realism of the spacecraft in Interstellar, and the Ranger has such a distinct silhouette: compact, functional, and instantly recognizable. Using the shaping and structure from both sets, I wanted to capture that same atmosphere while still keeping the build sturdy, swooshable, and display-worthy.

This modification focuses on recreating the Ranger’s angular wings, heavy engine profile, and clean NASA-inspired aesthetic while making the most of the available parts inventory. The wing assemblies are surprisingly sturdy during normal handling and display, though they can become fragile under rough or harsh play, so fly safe out there, Cooper. 🚀

Whether you’re docking with the Endurance, descending through impossible waves on Miller’s planet, or just displaying it proudly on your shelf, this build is a tribute to a film that continues to inspire me every time I watch it. 🌌
